Scandinavian Christmas Fairs in London 2011, part II

Then, straight from the Norwegian Christmas Fair, to the Swedish Christmas Fair! Already in Christmas Spirit we were ready for more glögg! And again, lots of people and even more festive Christmas spirit with even live music.
What we had: Korv med gurk salat (hot dog Swedish style), glögg (this time with brandy!?) and one was more than enough for me. We also did gingerbread men tasting.
What we bought: Christmas tree lights, Christmas decoration and a box of Swedish gingerbreadmen.

  1. I went there with my toddler for our annual Christmas fix. We did Swedish fair on Thursday and Norwegian on Friday. At both fairs they were bemused we were neither Swedish nor Norwegian but nonetheless everybody was very welcoming and understanding. Highly recommended as an antidote to pure commercialisation of Xmas. Lots of hand made or hand made looking decorations and open sandwiches and cakes to die for.

  2. where is the swedish fair? is it still on? would love to go! we got our swedish christmas fix at ikea this year…. would be nice to do something a bit more traditional. 🙂 x
