For one day only, in collaboration with Yellow Lolly, we were very proud to invite people to a Scandi Pop-up shop in the heart of trendy Islington, London. The venue was Coexistence showroom, next to the restaurant Ottolenghi.
Yellow Lolly brought beautiful Scandinavian clothes from Mini A Ture, Ej Sikke Lej, Alba Baby, Rockefella, Katvig and Danafae. REN Skincare, Bageriet and Katvig sponsored the goodiebags and the Hackney based smokehouse Hansen & Lydersen provided sublime smoked salmon, served with bubbly drinks.
The customers were lovely readers of Little Scandinavian, customers of Yellow Lolly that made the trip, lots of supportive locals and passers by -even tourists. The children were playing with BRIO toys, skydiving into the balloons and enjoying their yellow lolly Saturday sweet, while the parents peacefully could browse the collection and secure some fabulous Scandinavian designer pieces for their little ones.
The Norwegian designer behind Lille Barn also popped in with her toddler twins, supporting the event. We also had a massive support from the Junior Magazine, fellow bloggers, Twitter friends and Facebook followers. Local mums spread the word too!
Despite the rain the shop was filled with people and as one dad with two young children commented;
No wonder a Scandi Kids clothes Pop-up shop is a success here in “Nappy Valley!”
Thank you to all that supported the event, that came by and enjoyed our Scandi Pop-up Shop as much as we did!
And two very happy ladies toward the end of the event…
