Bubble London June 2012 {Trends and Preview} for SS13

Bubble London first day was hectic with a great buzz and lots of visitors throughout the day. It was indeed a very positive and enthusiastic atmosphere in the Business Design Centre. Exactly what’s needed, so a well done to the Bubble team!
Noticeable was the presence of the “Homegrown” brands, with Bubble London giving the British Fashion industry some extra support and thumbs up. Very appropriate considering happenings like the Jubilee and the Olympics this year but also from a environmentally point of view, supporting local economy and reducing our carbon footprint. Still Bubble London is quite an international event with a significant number of influential French, Spanish, American and Australian brands presenting their coming SS13 collections in London.
The most striking trend for SS13 is probably the use of nostalgic styles with an array of colours that combined creates such a reassuring and positive feeling. Important for SS13 is buy quality, choose timeless and unisex, hand down and upcycle.
Considering what we saw on display in Islington today I think for 2013 we’ll have a bright and sunny Summer ahead of us.

Little Scandinavian was on the judging panel of the “Bubble London Stand Out Award SS13”. A lot of the exhibitors had done a tremendous effort in creating an inspirational stand so it was a very hard decision. But we landed on a very playful and creative stand with a great attention to detail, reflecting the brands vision and products and in general really standing out!
A big well done and congratulations to Indikidual! Your stand was a firm favourite among all the judges!

Runners up were Little Troll and Rock N’ Regal both very different but inspirational stands. Photo by Bubble Blog
