This is what fine art photographer Brijesh Patel recalls from his time as an artist in residence at the Halsnøy island in Norway, 2011. Lost in the vast fjords of southern Norway, the tiny island of Halsnoy is crisscrossed by slim roads and dirt tracks. The show is part of the East London Photo Month festival.

Most of all, leave a day or two without any planned activity. It’s good for the children to have some down time as well and perhaps only play in and around the house and at the playground nearby. And on the grey days during Half Term we’ve made a list of ideas on What to do with kids on a rainy day.

If you have any excellent ideas on Half Term fun activities, why not share it by leaving a comment on this post!
