Must see MarMar Copenhagen AW13 Children’s wear collection

MarMar Copenhagen AW13 was about to be unveiled. The red brick villa was packed with magazine editors and bloggers. There were smoothies being freshly prepared and Danish open sandwiches creating a rather artful display in the middle of the showroom. Marlene Anine Holmboe, the designer behind the brand, smiled and greeted everyone personally. There were racks of children’s clothes, gorgeous children’s clothes! Dark red, bright yellow, deep blue, gold and leopard. Knits, corduroy and cotton. And prints! All beautifully presented, surrounded by mood boards and creative and fun accessories.

What the designer and her team proudly presented, on that crisp and cold winter morning in Copenhagen, was nothing but a complete children’s collection for the colder months. Well made, beautiful children’s clothes with that unmistakably Scandinavian contemporary touch. And now, half a year later, it’s all in store. For children age 0 to 14 years. marmar.dk

Marlene Anine Holmboe is the designer behind the brand, and has a degree from The Royal Danish Academy of Fine Arts, Schools of Architecture, Design and Conservation. After receiving her degree, Marlene designed kids wear for numerous well-known Danish kids wear brands, and moved on to create her own brand, MarMar Copenhagen in 2007.
