Petit Bateau has tied up with Finnish designer Satu Maaranen for a limited edition capsule collection for women and children, a bit like Petit Bateau meets Marimekko. And we love the collaboration where the design talent has revisited iconic heritage pieces from Petit Bateau with her strong graphic vision.

Master of Arts, Satu Maaranen is a Helsinki based fashion designer. Maaranen graduated in 2012 from Aalto University School of Arts, Design and Architecture. Her graduate collection won first prize at the prestigious Hyères Fashion Festival 2013 by unanimous decision. Her work has been featured in Vogue Paris, Vogue Italia, The Business of Fashion, Interview Magazine, L’Officiel, Women’s Wear Daily, Untitled Magazine, i-D online, Marie Claire, Showstudio and numerous other print and online publications. Her work has also been showcased in exhibitions and in print, including special upcoming projects with filmmakers commissioned by Vogue Italia.
Maaranen also won 1st prize at the international Marimekko Design Competition “Why not together?” in September 2012, Helsinki.

Satu Maaranen is the first young fashion designer to be featured in a collaboration between Petit Bateau and the Hyères Fashion Festival. More about Satu Maaranen.

Meanwhile a few more styles, as a preview on what’s to arrive in stores soon…
