The designer behind Poppy Rose, Minna Speerschneider Larsen, is herself a mum of three young children. She has a clear understanding not only what parents would like to see their children dressed in but also what the children would be happy to wear.
Poppy Rose Spring Summer 2015 has delightful relaxed Scandinavian feel about it, with loose fit garments in natural fabrics such as soft cotton and silks. The colour palette is a mix of neutral shades, with some garments featuring bright contrast colours as a breath of fresh air.
I know Minna is inspired by the colours of Scandinavia but this collection takes me to South of France and perhaps all the way down to the Mediterranean. I can see this collection being not only comfortable but formal enough to wear for an evening meal or to the Summer party.
The Danish children’s fashion brand Poppy Rose was founded 10 years ago in 2005. The brand has since gone from strength to strength and is today catering for babies, boys and girls up to age 14 as well as a selection of home accessories and bedding. In Liberty fabrics of course!
