Molly-Meg is a design shop for children offering an edited selection of furniture, home decoration, toys and gifts. This shop is a must visit – showcasing innovative design for children to be enjoyed by the whole family.
The independent design led children’s store was established in 2009 by Molly Price. Originally an online concept offering kids size versions of timeless interior design and toys. We fondly remember all the beautiful vintage chairs that quickly sold out in the first edition of the online retail concept. Molly-Meg has since evolved into a full range of contemporary and unique design led products for kids and family.
The shop opened last Saturday. We went along, put it was way to crowded to take any pictures to give you a flavour of what this beautiful shop is all about. The shop floor was completely packed, which is of course great for Molly. Not so great when wanting to take pictures… Nevertheless, we snapped one photo; of lovely Suzanne from Kids Style Junkie, who had made the journey from leafy Hampstead, together with her two gorgeous daughters.
As we really wanted to let you know about this gem of a store, we went again, this morning. When we arrived there was only a handful of customers in store, as it was straight after opening time. And we met a very happy new ‘brick and mortar’ shop owner, still very thankful for the massive support and turnout on the opening day.
First and foremost Molly-Meg is all about kids interior. From children’s furniture and lighting to interior accessories such as kids bedlinen and throws, decorative pillows and art. Basically everything you would need when redecorating your child’s bedroom. Miss A is 10 years old and she wanted E V E R Y T H I N G in store.
But then again I saw a toddler who shared her new found love too. And when that’s said, a 14 year old we had in tow last Saturday picked up Vita Eos pendant made in dreamy goose feather. So it really is a kids shop that seem to cater for all ages.
Anyway, we met these two cool dudes too, just casually hanging out…
Quality and timeless toys makes Molly-Meg the go-to-pace for kids gifts.
We also found (and bought – watch this space!) a great selection of stylish Halloween party decoration, from garlands, cake toppers and balloons to paper cups, straws and napkins.
Besides Halloween there’s a permanent great selection of contemporary kids party decoration and accessories.
Matching gift bags were also available, alongside a selection of gift bags items, from small toys to hair accessories, temporary tattoo and nail varnish. – Yes! These adorable figurines are actually nail varnish!
When we visited today, fresh flower from the opening event was still decorating the store.
