Rocket Shop is a brand new online kidswear and accessories concept shop, based in London and founded by the talented artist Gi Myao. We are absolutely delighted to introduce their wonderful selection of kids design here on the blog, as well as share a amazing Halloween discount!
Rocket Shop London was created by London Central Saint Martins graduate Gi Myao. Gi worked as a fashion illustrator and designer before starting a family of her own. I had a look at some of her previous work and are truly impressed by her delicate touch, beautiful sense of colours with a added quirkiness making her art truly stand out.
After turning the page and starting a new chapter in her life, her creativity turned towards the kids universe, and Rocket Shop was born. Besides sourcing the best of kids design from world wide, all Rocket Shop illustrations are hand drawn by Gi and hope to bring a smile to customer’s faces.
And all items are shipped in Rocket Shop custom-made (designed to re-use) boxes.
Gi believes that it is important to be mindful as parents. We seem to care a lot about the food we give our children, where it comes from, its quality and so on. As part of making conscious choices for our family its only natural to care about where our kids clothing come from and how they are made too.
We carefully select natural, fair-trade, organic brands from the UK, Germany, Spain and Scandinavia. Our brands are characteristic and contemporary cool – far away from the mainstream kidswear on the market. We believe every child is different as are their parents, so why should they dress the same. Rocket Shop London launched in September this year, selling low-on branding but high on style, comfort and quality clothing in newborn to 14 years old sizes.
Gi explains her new concept shop further; We think that kids clothing should be easy, personal and knowing how they are made. ‘That’s what it means to be a cool kid today’. We only sell brands which we believe. We care about the materials and the productions. We care about small family-run brands. We care about value for money for the parents. We don’t believe in separate sections for boys and girls, most of our brands are unisex. I hope this is the new beginning on how we look at kidswear.
