One of the pleasures of going to Copenhagen Fashion Week is not only seeing the brands, the collections and the amazing shows, it’s also seeing all the people! And there’s lots of fashion inspiration where ever you go; from cropped straight haircuts and simple yet bold make up to oversized coats and… the Bomber Jacket!

When visiting Copenhagen Fashion Week last week it was evident that the Bomber Jacket is what to wear this Spring. The bomber jacket is a cool classic you can throw over any outfit. Keep it clean and classic in pale hues of pastels or in timeless navy – or go rock chic with mixed-up textures and bold embroidery.

We spotted a lot of vintage and up-cycled versions – but also a good few ‘new in stock’ styles. My personal favourites includes the vintage Japanese bomber jackets with embroidered oriental motifs. For our teenage daughter we are considering the completely rock n’ roll G-Asy from Diesel with “Wild Spirit” embroidered at the back. So cool! But not for me. I’m way into my thirties and a mum-of-two. I somehow don’t feel it’s appropriate to wear something like that as it would make me slightly desperate? However, I might buy a one for my daughter, then borrow it once in a while!

Anyway, another one, which is similar to above mentioned Diesel’s jacket is the one from Non Sense. Non Sense is a new Swedish design label founded by Per Holknekt and Karin Jimfelt- Ghatan, which launched Spring 2015. The brand is influenced by rock n’roll with its design in luxurious silks and fine knits in a rock chick style. The Silk Bomber Jacket by Non Sense has dragon embroidery at the front panels and the arm, with a flying eagle embroidered at the back.

Also spotted on several of the shows was the unisex bomber jacket from Copenhagen based designer MUF10 Crew. This is a custom-made style, so slightly more pricy. But if you think the Bomber is here to stay you might as well get it by your exact measurements! Both styles below is from MUF10, as seen during Copenhagen Fashion Week.

Then, for the lady who loves fashion but like to play it safe; Acne Studios has this wonderful oversized powder pink bomber jacket. Sorry to be such a tease, as it is sold out, everywhere!

Another one, that seems to be sold out mots places is the Ganni Inglewood Bomber Jacket in a dusty pink wool blend. As it’s the perfect Spring jacket – let me know if you see it in stock somewhere!

Not yet in stock, but coming soon is the Lustrous Bomber Jacket by & Other Stories. In viscose and obviously a lot more affordable compared to the jackets in more luxurious materials such as silks and wool.
