The White Company press day gave a preview of Summer 2016; from sunny mornings in the city to long days spent with family at the beach. There was late night garden parties too – and home spa for everyone! Read on to see what is new from this delightful all white lifestyle brand.
The White Company hosted a press show in Newmann Street yesterday. And for one day only we got to indulge in what the Summer to come will have to offer…
The White Company Spa is a new and strengthen focus. Previously we have tried, tested and loved the body wash, creams and scented candles. But I’m pleased to report the range has now been extended further to create a ‘transform your bathroom into a spa-worthy retreat’. The Spa line includes super-soft hydro cotton robes, Egyptian cotton towels, stylish bath mats, practical storage solutions and of course essentail white accessories.
Recently I wrote a post on how mothers need to spend less time on the kids and more on themselves. I find that many mums are so busy looking after their little ones that sometimes they can forget about themselves. The White Company SPA line reminds you that everyone needs a little bit of ‘me-time’ once in while, to re-energise, to be able to continue to look after everyone else. So when I spotted this bath tub in the SPA area I certainly felt some restoration was needed!
What I love about The Little White Company’s baby line is that it’s gender neutral, in hues of whites. Baby clothes are often quickly outgrown, with some pieces even barely used. Great quality in a neutral and timeless design means that outgrown clothing can easily be handed down to younger siblings. The Summer 2016 collection by The Little White Company is featuring soft cotton, fine knits and adorable animal prints the little ones will love.
The boys and girls clothes are featuring beautiful nautical styles, flower prints. The colour palette is perfect for the holidays; white, denim blue, light blue and coral red. And the collection has “grown”, with some pieces that are now available in sizes up to age 12.
You can also scent your home with The White Company – with a range of candles, diffusers and home sprays. Evoke the balmy breeze of summer with fruity and tropical Seychelles, with notes of fresh bergamot, orange and amber together with warming notes of exotic coconut, vanilla and almond. Sounds nice? Well, we also loved the floral an exotic scent Lime & Bay, a fusion of citrus fruit blended with jasmine buds and crushed bay leaves. Verveine is a zesty and fresh scent with notes of sparkling verbena, orange and lemon. And the last but not least, the scent of the season is Summer with a balmy scent of the sunny days we have ahead.
Moving onto womenswear; The White Company women’s fashion is quite a Scandi chic affair; pared-down and effortlessly stylish pieces. Sophisticated yet delightfully relaxed. From wardrobe basics to the complete holiday wardrobe of stylish swimwear, sandals and kaftans. There’s also a a more city chic part of the summer collection, with monochrome pieces that will easily take you from a day in the office to a night out with friends. Most notable was perhaps the white accessory; from the super cool oversized white watch to beautiful all white leather purses and bags. Rather than making the collection stand out with prints and colours demanding attention, there’s a more understated look with a beautiful finish and excellent use of lightweight, delicate fabrics. Subtle details such as metallic shine or barely-there sequin details is what to expect.
If you take a look at the latest catalogue, for March 2016, you will see that The White Company has again extended their range to be a complete lifestyle brand; from fashion and home accessory to storage solutions and furniture. All white of course. For Summer this all white is beautifully blended with one of the main trends of the season, botanical green.
Fellow bloggers, instagrammers and journalists at the press show all agreed that if we could – we would all move into the showroom, like in an instant. And we wouldn’t even need to pack a bag!
