There is without a doubt a resemblance between the the new Starters shoes from Angulus and The Scandinavian Dads nearly 33 year old first shoes.

Children usually starts walking sometime between seven months and two years of age. When babies start standing and walking on their own they are ready for their first walking shoes. Things are a bit wobbly to start with, but improvements will come soon enough.There are some activities to help your baby and toddler develop walking skills like crawling together, walking on uneven surfaces like sand and climbing which is great for coordination, independence and muscle development. Babies feet don’t have bones, just soft cartilage. Well fitted soft and flexible shoes offering lots of support are therefor recommended at this delicate stage. And what we think is very important; Don’t hand shoes down from one child to another, because two pairs of feet are never the same shape! For us as parents it can be an emotional moment seeing your child in their first pair of walking shoes, but make sure they combine style, quality and fit. Never compromise on fit, because a toddler’s nerve endings are not developed yet so they may not notice a painful constriction, and may not be able to complain even if they do. Children’s feet can grow really quickly so make sure to check their feet and size regularly.

And yes I do! Who hasn’t got a relationship to denim? But I Dig Denim is not only my statement it’s also a brand new designer name for children’s wear from Scandinavia. Swedish based I Dig Denim have received a warm welcome so far. Milla Milano stated: ”The coolest jeans were some I bought from a new Swedish brand, it’s going to be a success.”
The founder and head of design Hanna Clavegaard noticed that the market lacked a unique, exciting jeans brand for the little ones:

”I have always loved jeans, from the character of the fabric to how it can be shaped and adapted according to style and taste. Denim is timeless, easy to wear and practical. With my brand I want to give all children what I love. It’s simple: I dig denim.”

I Dig Denim produces their collection, available for babies, boys and girls up to 10 years, according to the Fairtrade principles. With the first collection only consisting of a few items it’s a humble start, but there is more to come. All in denim, of course.
