Good morning sunshine!

Little B had a athletics competition in School yesterday. Half way through it and we got caught in a sudden downpour, thunder and lightning and had to escape home, soaked by the rain.
Hope the weekend has some sunshine in store for us -So good morning, sunshine and happy weekend to you all!

Trend: More shoes being sold in clothes shops

New Norwegian study has found that more shoes are being sold in clothes shops and less in specialized shoe shops. This is probably a result of more clothing shops stocking shoes. The exact numbers of shoes being sold in clothes shops are probably even higher than what the study found as it’s often included in the total income without being singled out.
Source: Tekstilforum.no

Our experience is that staff in clothes shops often are as knowledgeable as in specialized shoe shops, and as we buy more shoes the selection is even greater too.
Below is a few examples of what you can find in Kensal Rise, London based (and online) Kidsen.

Molo Baby Slip On Trainers, 21.99 at Kidsen

Hummel High Top Trainers, £34.99 at Kidsen

Pom Pom leather Mary Janes, 49.99 at Kidsen

Bisgaard navy leather sandal, £54.99 at Kidsen

Bisgaard sports leather shoes, £52.99 at Kidsen

Bisgaard Wellies, £24.99 at Kidsen

Come rain, come snow, come shine with Bisgaard

We love these leather boots from Danish brand Bisgaard in black with warm and comfy wool inner linning and made with high tec tex membran that is breathable, durably waterproof and engineered to keep feet dry and comfortable. Ideal for the coming season with low temperatures and rain -and possibly snow (remember we had lot’s last year!)
And the best thing; Available in size 28-40 (brilliant as my soon-to-be 9 year old already wears shoe size 37)

Come rain, come snow, come shine!

Bundgaard shoes goes organic

During Copenhagen Fashion Week this August at CIFF Danish shoe brand Bundgaard launched a collection of organic children’s footwear, following the trend with all things organic.

It’s the British designer Penny Leese that’s behind the collection. Leeses lives and works in Denmark and she has created her first shoe collection within the brand’s philosophy of creating comfortable footwear that works with the natural development of children’s feet.

The organic collection offers two styles of sandal, three styles of shoe and one style of slippers, all available in red, brown and blue and will be in stores from spring 2011.

Bundgaard is own by one of the oldest and largest shoe manufacturer in Denmark, Sanita Footwear and are well known in Scandinavia for creating high quality footwear for children (similar quality as Bisgaard and Angulus).

We have had Bundgaard sandals for the girls and we were very happy with them. Would love to try out the organic collection too!

Todays party outfit

Holiday is def over and both the school run and the children’s birthday parties are back on. Amélie wore gold from top to toe to her friend’s 6th birthday party today, a knitted dress by Mini A Ture AW09 and leather Mary Janes by Bisgaard Sko SS10.

The light and dark golden colours work very well together. And the dress with it’s balloon shape reaching only down to her knees was very convenient whilst having fun in the bouncy castle!
