Green Cotton “is what it says on the tin”; organic soft cotton. The label Green Cotton is owned by Novotex – the first in the World with tees made of certified organic cotton. Novotex has won several prizes for bringing the environmental awareness into the textile industry.
Green Cotton has existed as a registered trademark since late 80′s, and as a children’s collection since 2006. The garments are so comfortable to wear and with colourful and fun prints they’ll probably end up as your child’s favourite piece this spring.

Drappa Dot Spring Summer 2011

One of our favourite brands, danish Drappa Dot has released their press prictures for their coming collection of fabolous children’s clothing.
This collection is very summery, festive and playful with lot’s of details, refreshing prints and perfect fit. We especially like the comfortable cropped balloon trousers. Wear them together with a simple top or in layers with both pretty tulle skirts and tunics.

We have mentioned Drappa Dot previously.
Sadly it doesn’t look like they will be exhibiting at Bubble London in January but I’m very much looking forward to seeing them and the coming Autumn Winter 2011 collection at CIFF Kids Copenhagen in February.

The Danish brand Zilly Banana with children’s wear have launched their coming spring summer 2011 collection for boys and girls 3-10y.
And we quite like the direction this brand is taking with the new collection being even more fun and functional. And the animal prints are a strong trend this season. There are definitely a few must haves within this collection!

First Sunday of Advent

To be found in most Scandinavian homes during the advent time is the “adventsstake”.

Adventslys is four candles, traditionally purple in colour but as a modern “all white Scandi Christmas” white is common, placed in the “adventsstake”, a tray or candleholder used for putting the candles on or in. These can be simple or decorated as you please.

One is lit every week starting on the first Sunday of Advent, so that by the Christmas Eve the candles are different heights.
Families usually gather together each Sunday afternoon in Advent to lid the candle(s) and some say a poem together with their children, like the poem Advent by the Norwegian Poet Inger Hagerup.

Each of the four Sundays has a different aspect: joy, hope, longing and peace.

Yes, we still love Danish fashion designer Sofie Schnoor! Especially after seeing her subtle and nostalgic collection;
Petit by Sofie Schnoor autumn winter 2010.

Sofie Schnoor was originally a shoe designer, hence the great selection of trendy footwear. We find the entire collection being a mix of the pure and simple look with raw details that’s so trendy now.
All products are made using only long-lasting, soft materials of high quality with no use of fabricated or artificial materials.

I really did try to be selective, but just had to show you and share these beautiful pieces.
