Sonia Rykiel pour H&M sold out?

Sonia Rykiel’s knitwear collaboration with fast-fashion behemoth H&M has proved to be another success for H&M. Web shops in Scandinavia almost crashed at 10am today, when the sought after designer items were launched, and within the next hour all the children’s wear was gone.
I’ve had my eyes on the stripy set to the left, but there is probably not much hope left to retrieve it.
Thinking about it I’ve actually never been able to retrieve any of the design launches at H&M. I’m to lazy. Probably not eager enough.

Anyway. Hope you got what you wanted before it was all gone!

Milla Milano in Stockholm

Lucky are they who live in Stockholm and who can go shopping in one of my absolute favourite children’s clothing shops Milla Milano.
Milla Milano was founded in 2007 by Camilla Lindegårdh. With 10 years living in Australia and working within the fashion industry she has what it takes to run a super cool children’s clothing shop. They stock classic and contemporary, nostalgic and funky side by side. And it works!
Milla Milano keeps their customers up to date with whats going on in the shop, news, sales etc trough their very enjoyable blog, millamilano.com
From London all I can do is to use the blog for inspiration and maybe to start planning my next trip to Stockholm…

REDGREEN launches a new children’s wear collection

ReddGrenn KidswearDanish label REDGREEN was established in 1983. Through the years they have worked with a unique concept, where maritime inspiration, stylistically pure lines, quality and functionality are brought together in complete collections. I love the classical yet sporty design.
And it was about time they launched a children’s wear collection too!
REDGREEN Kidswear will be available in Denmark, Sweden and Germany as well as in their own online shop by February 2010.
Hopefully there will be lots to choose from for both active and sporty boys and girls!

Boys will be Boys with Mini A Ture

I think we just have to face it, the selection of clothing for boys is not as great as the selection for girls. It has become a lot better, but still we can get tired of cargo pants and stripy and printed tees. It’s hard to find boys clothing that really stands out.
The Scandinavian designers are really striving to do something with that, by using the highest quality fabrics (and of course organic cotton where possible and Fairtrade) with a lot of attention to details. They take pride in making clothes allowing children to be children. The clothes are fun and playful yet functional and comfortable, something active boys knows to appreciate.

Moose T long sleeve top from Mini A Ture is a good example of what cool, trendy tops should look like for boys. A cut out shape of a grey moose’s head on a vibrant blue background to the right of the tee, available from Nest. Oh! And did i mention it’s on sale for only £11? ;)
Pair it with jeans from MarMar Copenhagen (available from Nordic Kids), belt from Rebus and rough leather shoes from Bisgaard.
