Green Cotton Spring Summer 2011

Green Cotton “is what it says on the tin”; organic soft cotton. The label Green Cotton is owned by Novotex – the first in the World with tees made of certified organic cotton. Novotex has won several prizes for bringing the environmental awareness into the textile industry.
Green Cotton has existed as a registered trademark since late 80′s, and as a children’s collection since 2006. The garments are so comfortable to wear and with colourful and fun prints they’ll probably end up as your child’s favourite piece this spring.

Freoli AW10

The Freoli children’s wear label was established in 1999 in Denmark by the sisters Camilla and Henriette Lysgaard.

Freoli has it’s unique style: functional clothes made by the influence of Scandinavian heritage and nostalgia mixed with quite a funky style using spectacular colours and patterns.
They work intensively with the development of patterns and prints, and each season these features find a new expression and can be seen throughout the collection as allover print or as small, fine details where you least expect them.

Street look London: Urban Jungle

We met this little fellow in a playground near Soho yesterday, extremely cute and adventures, playing imaginative games with a few new pigeon friends he had made.

Dressed very comfortable and yet with an understated urban style in danish clothes -in fact after a quick chat with his mum I found out they were danish!

This little guy was wearing a cool tshirt from Molo and shoes from Portuguese label RAP, a brand that has been available in Denmark for more than 30 years. I’m not quite sure about what jeans he was wearing, but I really liked the casual turn-up style.

How to get the look:

Any funky stripy or and bold print t-shirt from Katvig or Molo will work.
We recommend I Dig Denim or Rockefella jeans but any favourite comfy pair is perfect.
Choose leather sandals of good quality, like Angulus or Bisgaard.

Minymo

Danish label Minymo are daring with both colours and cut. It’s playful yet beautiful clothes for children 2 – 10 years and 0 – 2 year old with Tiny Minymo.

Minymo is available at Kids In Style, Yellow Lolly, Rant and Rage and Bohemia amongst other.

I’ve had a sneak peak at Minymo’s Autumn Winter collection and I saw practical and colourful outdoor wear, including children’s ski suits, children’s ski pants, children’s ski jackets, children’s anoraks, children’s rainwear and children’s thinsulate wear.
Not that I’m in the mood for winter clothing yet, still waiting for our proper summer to arrive…

I’m also quite excited to see what they will present for the next spring summer season at the kids trade show Bubble London in only a few weeks time.

Moods of Norway for children?

Moods of Norway is combining a strong Norwegian heritage with International trends, and intend to tell the exotic Norwegian tale through inspired and cutting edge designs.
Both the Scandinavian Dad and myself have Moods of Norway in our wardrobe.
I’ve heard rumors that they do children’s clothing too, but have never seen it. However, I came across this picture on Facebook today, clearly showing Moods of Norway children’s clothing! The picture is from their concept store in Stryn, Norway.

I’ll be looking out for more information and pictures of this funky and glamorous Norwegian fashion brand!
