Our new favourite brand on the shoe rack is Pom Pom Sko from Denmark. The company has a simple philosophy that shoes should be made of the highest quality and at the same time be affordable.

Pom Pom Sko has kindly donated one pair of soft leather shoes to one happy youngster, in chocolate brown, size EU 23/24.
This is a classic leather shoe for toddlers comes in a colourful and sturdy box that could be recycled as a toy or treasure box.

The beautifully soft premium leather has a lightweight leather sole and a practical velcro fastening to ensure maximum comfort with no restrictions to the growth of developing feet. Wear them in the house, at nursery or even at parties!

Throughout December, from the 1st to the 24th we had a daily giveaway and promotion with our BIG Advent Calendar 2010. Thank you to all for participating. The Advent Calendar turned out to be such a popular and fun filled event that we’ll happily repeat the success next Christmas. But as it’s such a long time to December 2011, and January is such a gloomy month…let’s do another giveaway now!

Step into a retro and colourful spring 2011 with Angulus

We quite like the daring colours combined with high quality comfortable leather by danish shoe brand Angulus. The yellow sandals will definitely brighten up Amélie’s day and be a hit throughout the coming spring and summer. The leather sneakers for boys are available in brown aswell, but why not spoil the boys with some bright colours too? Prices from £60, but well worth in terms of quality and fit. Angulus was founded in 1904 and their shoes are therefor not only made with love an care but also more than 100 years of experience.

Children usually starts walking sometime between seven months and two years of age. When babies start standing and walking on their own they are ready for their first walking shoes. Things are a bit wobbly to start with, but improvements will come soon enough.There are some activities to help your baby and toddler develop walking skills like crawling together, walking on uneven surfaces like sand and climbing which is great for coordination, independence and muscle development. And what we think is very important; Don’t hand shoes down from one child to another, because two pairs of feet are never the same shape! For us as parents it can be an emotional moment seeing your child in their first pair of walking shoes, but make sure they combine style, quality and fit. Never compromise on fit, because a toddler’s nerve endings are not developed yet so they may not notice a painful constriction, and may not be able to complain even if they do. Children’s feet can grow really quickly so make sure to check their feet and size regularly.
