Classic children’s clothes by Danish Poppy Rose for AW11

The Danish children’s fashion brand Poppy Rose, founded in 2005, combine Liberty prints with subtle colours in delicate fabrics creating a vintage look. We discovered this brand February 2010 and wrote about this True Poppy Rose of a brand. They also had a gorgeous yet subtle collection for Spring Summer 2011. They have gone a bit darker on the colour palette for Autumn Winter 2011 with use of grey and black for the coming colder season. Warmed up with the nostalgic flower print and traditional woolen fabrics. Vintage is more popular than ever especially combined with pure fabrics. We think clothes by Poppy Rose is simply gorgeous and are so happy that it will now be available in the UK as well as they’ve now got a UK agent, Vida Kids.co.uk. Very much looking forward to be seeing timeless classics clothes for children up to 14 years around in local shops. Poppyrose.net

Petit by Sofie Schnoor Spring Summer 2011

Petit by Sofie Schnoor is out with their spring summer 2011 collection. Romantic and nostalgic with lots of details. We love that they kept the popular jumpsuit for the girls and the grandpa style shirt for the boys. New this year is the rara skirt and the use of crochet details on tops and cardis -very vintage and oh so cute!

Petit by Sofie Schnoor autumn winter 2010

Yes, we still love Danish fashion designer Sofie Schnoor! Especially after seeing her subtle and nostalgic collection;
Petit by Sofie Schnoor autumn winter 2010.

Sofie Schnoor was originally a shoe designer, hence the great selection of trendy footwear. We find the entire collection being a mix of the pure and simple look with raw details that’s so trendy now.
All products are made using only long-lasting, soft materials of high quality with no use of fabricated or artificial materials.

I really did try to be selective, but just had to show you and share these beautiful pieces.

Jazzed up AW10 news from Christina Rohde

Being a pioneer in creating Scandinavian children’s designer wear danish designer Christina Rohde started up back in 1991. The label is known for a romantic, nostalgic almost bohemian look with their loose and flowery print on soft cotton made into the most comfortable yet stylish garments.
However it seems like the label Christina Rohde are renewing themselves slightly this season, or so it seems from their presentation of the collection.

And some more AW pics, only a bit more like how we used to know Christina Rohde

If you look closely many of the garments are still the same, with the same typical Christina Rohde signature cut and finish.
So, what do you prefer? The more nostalgic look or the new almost “geek chic” style?

A midsummer’s night dream – Tina Wodstrup

Did you know that in Scandinavia we celebrate Midsummer – St.Hans with gathering around huge bonfires and singing traditional songs? The night of St. Hans was supposedly a night of magic. If, for instance, a young girl picked seven flowers and put them under her pillow, she would dream of her future husband. Read more about St Hans here norway.org

Danish designer Tina Wodstrup has since 2004 created functional and comfortable clothes for children up to 12 years with a romantic and nostalgic touch. Tina Wodstrup design is very much sought after in Scandinavia and is also available in Fenwick.
