Simplicity, comfort and eco-friendly; well done, LUDD!

LUDD is a Swedish-Spanish company creating exclusive, ethical, ecological basics for your child (0-3years). Design of Sweden, made in the EU.

Choosing LUDD is choosing quality, basics and a brand full of meaning as the company itself adhere to a strict code of values:

- Using fair-trade 100% organic cotton, eco friendly dye and printing.
- All materials are quality certified and chosen to protect the baby’s health and the environment.

However LUDD’s main priority is providing your child with comfortable clothes. And it’s indeed so utterly comfy and well made that you would wish they came in your size too!

And LUDD knows how to tick all the right boxes;
All packaging is made from recycled material and is designed to be re-utilised. It contains no elements other than the container itself, making it easy to remove the label without any wastage, while the LUDD brand is not printed on the container itself. If we re-use the container, there is zero wastage. And with the practical lid I know that this box definitely will come in handy in this house!

The ultra trendy design packaging truly complete the high quality garment so well -making this the perfect gift to any eco-conscious fashion tot! Check out www.luddorganic.com

Epla arts and crafts online marked

Like a proper old fashioned marked with lots of individual stalls, where local craftsmen display and sell their gods, Norwegian online site Epla is the viritual version of this.
Founded late 2009 the online marked is already well known within Norway and Scandinavia. It seems like high quality homemade products, often made of recycled materials, are increasingly popular. And I’m amazed how many people who are back to their roots in front of the sewing machine or with knitting pins in their hands!

Have a look at “Barn og Baby” to see unique clothes, accessories, toys and furniture for your little one.

Katvig and recycled cotton

Always in the lead, Katvig is proud to introduce recycled cotton, a brilliant new way to make use of the enormous amounts of cotton that would normally go to waste. 25 percent of the world’s pesticides are used on cotton, 40 percent of all cotton goes straight in the bin as pure waste.
The result is a different material that is softer and lighter. I find it quite reassuring to know that leading fashion designer companies has such a strong emphasis on environmental care.
And talking of Katvig, their High Summer 2010 collection is out! Set shown underneath is in organic cotton, choose between pink or green.

Perfect party bags

Bright stripes and a plain style makes these paper bags from Minimega the perfect party bag for little guests.
Festive and funky but yet very traditional as they remind me a lot of the old fashioned sweetie bags.
Remember when sweets came in glass jars not plastic bags? When you went to the local sweet shop to spend your pocket money and came back with a proper paper bag with two ounces or a quarter of your favourite sweets?
And what’s good to know is that minimega only offset prints on 100% recycled paper with vegetable-based inks. No needless chemicals are added in the process.
This is simply brilliant danish design, available online at minimega.dk
