The brand to watch; 50′s style by Rockefella

The swedish children’s fashion brand Rockefella creates fun and funky clothes in a proper retro 50′s style for cool children. Introduced to the British market on the trade show Bubble in June 2010 and was named winner of the Standout Award for the best-dressed stand at the show with its pirate-themed and retro creation. The clothes are both comfortable and stylish, in fact we’re always stopped on the street by people who want to take a closer look at for example the popular yellow cardigan, and they would say: Like seriously! I had one just like that as a child! I used to love my cardigan! Wow -do they produce it again!?!

Yes they do. We think Rockefella is the brand to watch at Bubble London in June 2011, exhibiting for the 3d time. We’re very excited to see they have in store for us for Spring Summer 2012. Wear it. Live it. Roll the Dice. www.rockefella.se

Happy 1st Birthday of celebrating boyhood!

Dear Brothers Trimm.

Congratulations with your very 1st Birthday, for inspiring us and taking us along the adventures of boyhood.
Little Scandinavian is so happy to be invited to the party and we are saying a big HIPP HIPP HURRA!

We wish you continues success and lots of fun for the year to come. As a little celebration we wanted to share some favourites, for the boys.

The Curious Fish by Elsa Beskow is a charming, highly imaginative and funny picture book that paints the world from a whole new perspective -from a fish’s point of view. Children will delight in the wonderful characters of the lake, and in their extraordinary adventure on dry land. We think this book is perfect for any little curious boy, ready for new adventures.

The Oscar Jr. Eco Denim hat by CTH Mini is the essential boys hat, inspired by another children’s fiction character, Emil from Lonneberget by Astrid Lindgren. Emil is an adventures and most kind little boy with the very best intentions even if his bright ideas sometimes ends horribly wrong and Emil will appear as a proper rascal. Astrid Lindgren assures us that regardless of this he is one day to become the Major of the little Swedish town were he lives.

Jeans Dungarees by Rockefella is what we think is the best play outfit for any active boy. Jeans is hard wearing material and can stand its test, even with climbing the trees, driving the homemade racing car like my favourite little lads from the 30′s TV series “The Little Rascals” (also known as “Our Gang”).

Stripy longsleeved t-shirt by danish childenswear brand FUB, beacuse stripes are fun and a reminding us about Dr Seuss whimsy philosophy.

We would like to end this Happy Birthday note with our favourite quote by Dr. Seuss (Oh, the Places You’ll Go!)

“Oh the places you’ll go! There is fun to be done! There are points to be scored. There are games to be won. And the magical things you can do with that ball will make you the winning-est winner of all.”

This post was prepared by Little Scandinavian and posted on the Brothers Trimm 11th of March.

Street look London: Urban Jungle

We met this little fellow in a playground near Soho yesterday, extremely cute and adventures, playing imaginative games with a few new pigeon friends he had made.

Dressed very comfortable and yet with an understated urban style in danish clothes -in fact after a quick chat with his mum I found out they were danish!

This little guy was wearing a cool tshirt from Molo and shoes from Portuguese label RAP, a brand that has been available in Denmark for more than 30 years. I’m not quite sure about what jeans he was wearing, but I really liked the casual turn-up style.

How to get the look:

Any funky stripy or and bold print t-shirt from Katvig or Molo will work.
We recommend I Dig Denim or Rockefella jeans but any favourite comfy pair is perfect.
Choose leather sandals of good quality, like Angulus or Bisgaard.

Rockefella stood out at Bubble

Bubble London was launched in January 2008, and its philosophy is to bring a new generation of kids’ trade show to the marketplace. Each event is carefully conceived as a focused trade show in a wonderful space, where retailers can meet exhibitors from every aspect of the kid’s world: clothing to toys, shoes, accessories and more.
This time around showcasing trends and collections for spring summer 2011.

The Swedish brand Rockefella was named winner of the Standout Award for the best-dressed stand at the show with its pirate-themed and retro creation. The brand wins space at next season’s show. Well deserved!

Next season’s show takes place on 30-31 January 2011 at The Business Design Centre, Islington.
