Fam Irvoll SS12 at Oslo Fashion week

Celebrities like Lady Gaga, Katy Perry and Pixie Geldof have already discovered the playful designer wear by Fam Irvoll.
Fam Irvoll has previously collaborated with the popular tween brand Wow and Me.

Oslo Fashion week is on (8-14.Aug) and the Norwegian designer used the opportunity to launch her coming collections for Spring Summer 2012 with a spectacular show, for both her adult and children line. And it was in particular the children’s collection that caught the eye of many a trend spotter.

We wonder if Fam perhaps has been inspired by her newborn daughter Noelle to focus even more on children’s wear?

Norwegian high street tween brand Wow and me

Norwegian high streets have a new fashion brand to be proud of, WOW AND ME, that’s instantly has become all tweens favourite.
It’s affordable, the style is funky and functional for the older children that want to dress trendy without looking like adults. Proper Scandinavian tween fashion!

Their latest collection for Christmas 2010, designed by the Norwegian fashion designer Fam Irvoll was launched at a big Wow and me party in Oslo last Thursday. The launch was rather successful with lots of cheerful tween Wow-and-me fans attending. Picture shows two happy girls, in fun and bright Wow and me clothes, arriving at the party.

I’m not too sure about how environmentally concerned the label are, neither the quality of the clothes.
However I must admit I’m really pleased to see how popular decent tween clothes can be thinking of the earlier mentioned not exactly utterly hilarious trends for children and tweens.

Little Scandinavian on Ice

Beatrice is turning 9 during half term and we were thinking of celebrating her big day the following weekend, but were quite unsure about what she wanted to do.

This morning, there was a real chill in the air, and it’s suddenly came to us; ice skating! We went online and to our luck we discovered that some ice rinks opens already Friday the 5th of November!
See more information about London’s ice rinks here:
www.viewlondon.co.uk

One of our favourite things to do when the weather turns crisp-cold is to head out to one of London’s fantastic ice rinks. We’re not the greatest skaters in the world, but practice makes perfect! And as Beatrice loves ice skating what could be a better venue for her party than one of London’s ice rinks “by night”?

Jazzed up AW10 news from Christina Rohde

Being a pioneer in creating Scandinavian children’s designer wear danish designer Christina Rohde started up back in 1991. The label is known for a romantic, nostalgic almost bohemian look with their loose and flowery print on soft cotton made into the most comfortable yet stylish garments.
However it seems like the label Christina Rohde are renewing themselves slightly this season, or so it seems from their presentation of the collection.

And some more AW pics, only a bit more like how we used to know Christina Rohde

If you look closely many of the garments are still the same, with the same typical Christina Rohde signature cut and finish.
So, what do you prefer? The more nostalgic look or the new almost “geek chic” style?
